Document Source File Delivery

This window is used to add a new document source file or to replace an existing document. Following are definitions of items in the window:

File name:

Enter the full path to the document text file. If the document text file is in the current working directory, you only need to enter the file name. Wild-card characters are accepted as part of the path to the stored document.

If you are not sure of the correct path to your document text, you can select the "Browse" button which will activate a file selection utility.

Browse:

Select this button to view your entire directory structure and find a file to replace.

Options:

- Browse Copy

Select this option (default) to test on-line browsing of your document. It is recommended that you test the document to ensure that it will display for other users.

- Notification

Select this option (default) to send email notifying people in the document change notification list that the document has been changed.

Once you have entered the file path to the document text and have selected the proper options, select the "Add" button or press "Enter". The document will be copied to the COMPAS database.

Postscript Files

As part of normal document processing, COMPAS will create a postscript image file from most document file format types. If COMPAS is unable to perform this task, you will be prompted to deliver a postscript file to accompany your document source file. You also have the option to over-ride this automatic creation of the postscript file and deliver your own postscript or pdf-format file.

Select "Help" from the main menu to learn how to navigate forms and menus and also how to select items with the mouse.
