This wizard-type utility lets you initiate a new Modification Request entry in COMPAS for a document. The COMPAS Assistant: Create New MR will guide you through this operation.
Invoke the MR Assistant with these methods: from the COMPAS Main Window, click:
File -> New -> MR and proceed with the COMPAS Assistant (wizard).
You may also begin from the Document Detail Window for a COMPAS ID. In this case, you would click:
File -> Create New MR and proceed with the COMPAS Assistant
When creating a new MR, enter values for all required fields. When you have finished entering values, select the "Finish" command button. COMPAS creates a new MR entry in the database. The system will remind you of the new COMPAS MR number and then a window may be displayed to view the details of the new MR.
Once an entry has been created, then it is tracked and managed by the system. You can query and retrieve information about the entry or retrieve the associated text - Abstract, Description or Resolution.
