The COMPAS Main window is made up of 4 basic areas:

Quick-Search Bar:

• Documents, MRs, Inspections, or Reviews by specifying values for the most commonly used attributes for each.
• For Documents, you may designate an action -that you wish to Browse, Print or see Details regarding the document.

Compas Funcationality Panel:

• About Compas

  dispalys the Compas Version.
  
  

• Preferences

  Click on Preferences and you will see additional items like General and Helper Apps.
  • Select General to set Printer settings, Document Settings, LookAndFeel, Startup preferences, Skip Login, Temp Directory Names, Recently Accessed IDs and 4 Digitial Upgrade Notification.
  • Select Helper Apps to set the list to manage applications to be used to Edit or Browse documents with the COMPAS system.

• Favorites

  Click on Favorites and you will see Folders and Queries.
  • Folders:
    • Select Edit Folders to create a new doc folder.
    • Select Doc Folders to access uniquely defined folders used for quick access to frequently used documents.
  • Queries
    • Select Edit Query to create a new queried doc folder.
    • Select Queries to quickly access the frequently queried documents.

• Tools

  With tools, you are able to Lookup user information, enter a suggestion for Compas, check for latest Compas news, change your own password and administer the list of the documents, of which you are on their notification lists.
  

• Documents

  The Documents feature provides you with a means to add new document into compas (create a new compas Id), browse a document via a file tree system, and search documents based on relational queries.

• MRs

  The MRs feature provides you with a means to create a new MR against a document, and do an advanced search for MRs based on relational queries.

• Reviews

  The Reviews feature provides you with a means to schedule a new document review, and do an advanced search for reviews based on relational queries.

• Inspections

  The Inspections feature provides you with a means to schedule an inspection, do an advanced search for inspections based on relational queries and create inspection statistics.

• Recent IDs

  Recent IDs feature lists a list of recently accessed document IDs for your convenience.

• Help

  Help feature provides you with contents help, window help, navigatio help and qik search help.

• Close

  Select close feature to exit Compas.
